Wainwright Motorcycles are built with a mind to weave that emotion into a classic motorcycle form, with the modern underpinnings of an electric drivetrain. Taking timeless designs, and building them into a purely electric package that can still evoke the strong emotions associated with these retro motorcycles.
The Bike

A 55kW electric motor delivers instant and seamless power from zero rpm, propelling the bike to 60mph in under 5 seconds.
Range
Base package delivers a range of up to 80 miles of city riding. Upgrade options available to increase this.

Alex Wainwright’s Story
I’ve always been fascinated by vehicles and propulsion. By age 11, I had rebuilt a 2-stroke outboard boat motor, as well as built my own soapbox cart, and had grand plans of strapping fireworks to it to make it go faster.
I pursued this passion throughout school, eventually studying Automotive Engineering at Loughborough University in the UK. As early as 2002 I was helping to develop a hybrid version of a 2-seater sports car, in an effort to demonstrate how electric propulsion can be exciting and faster than gasoline engines. This led into a career focused on powertrains, engines and all forms of transport, most recently focused on the challenge of developing self-driving cars.
Throughout all of this, in my spare time I was riding and building motorcycles as my passion. Dirt, street - anything with two wheels, and especially anything old.
Eventually, I knew something different was calling. I wanted to take all of my experience and build something of my own design with it, combining the common threads of old and new technology.
This is how Wainwright Motorcycles was born.
